Bernie Hunsche - Sales Engineer

Since the early days of CNC fabrication Bernie has been working with sheet metal bending and punch tool machines - as the technology has evolved, Bernie has been working with this evolution. With over 20 years in the industry, there's no aspect of press and punch tooling he has not had some exposure to. He is able to advise on many aspects of tooling application including but not limited to, coatings, profiles, linear grinding and more.

Bernie says, ‘For example, there's been huge growth in bending technology with faster, highly accurate press brakes, leading to major developments in press brake tooling, as well as reducing press brake set up time with items such as replacement hydraulic beams for your existing machines and add on crowning systems.’

After many years in the fabrication industry, Bernie formed Punch Tooling NZ to give clients independent advice on the exact solutions, they need from the world's top tooling machine brands and consumables.

When not travelling around the country visiting engineering production and manufacturing businesses, Bernie is a keen hunter and mountain biker with an interest in horses.
